AUD is the only university in the region to cater exclusively to the study of the Humanities and the Social Sciences. In its brief period of existence AUD has built innovative and interdisciplinary courses and has become known for its outreach programmes which promote learning through engagement with praxis, for its new ways of teaching and assessment, its young and dynamic faculty, its liberal arts philosophy and its commitment to Ambedkar’s vision to promote equity and social justice through education.
